Established in Spring '26, the Cornell Undergraduate Sports & Entertainment Law Society (CUSELS) is built on a simple observation: Cornell doesn't just produce lawyers, it produces leaders in sports and entertainment law.
NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman and MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred are both Cornell alumni, as are some of the most influential attorneys working in entertainment law today. It's undeniable that this university is a breeding ground for students drawn to the intersection of sports, entertainment, and law, and CUSELS exists to give those students a tangible head start, through professional development opportunities, standout panelists, and more.

Joshua Fox
A Cornell ILR alum, Joshua Fox is a Proskauer partner and key member of the firm's Sports Law Group, representing MLB, the NFL, the NHL, MLS, and the Professional Referee Organization in collective bargaining and grievance arbitration, he also teaches salary arbitration in sports as an adjunct professor back at Cornell ILR.
